Elevate Community Development's philosophy is that homeownership is the key to "elevating" standards of living. While affordable housing, in the form of rentals, has a strategic place in a strong society, the ultimate goal is to bring families out of rental situations and into ownership situations. This will give those families a real opportunity to build wealth and achieve financial freedom. To this end, ECD has pioneered the Affordable Homeownership Program which incorporates a shared equity model by joining responsible low/moderate income families (the "Owners") with social minded families (the "Investors").
